Division 1 - Standard Rose Classes

Section H: Hybrid Teas and Grandifloras

  • CLASS 1: One bloom per stem (not including singles)
  • CLASS 2: Novice. One bloom per stem ... See Rule 7
  • CLASS 3: Fully Open. One bloom per stem ... See Rule 9
  • CLASS 4: Spray ... See Rule 11
  • CLASS 5: Cycle of bloom. One bud 1/4 open and showing color, one exhibition stage bloom, and one fully open bloom; same variety; same length stems. One Container.
  • CLASS 6: English Box. 6 blooms, no foliage. No more than 2 of any variety. Varieties must be correctly identified on a separate 3x5 card. One entry per exhibitor.
  • CLASS 7: Rose in a Bowl. One Hybrid Tea or Grandiflora bloom, at exhibition stage, no foliage, floating in a bowl of water (limited number of bowls available on a first come, first served basis). One entry per exhibitor.
  • CLASS 8: Single One bloom showing stamens (4-8 petals) .

Section F: Floribundas

  • CLASS 10: One bloom per stem (no side buds)
  • CLASS 11: Spray ... See Rule 11
  • CLASS 12: Palette. 5 blooms, no foliage. 5 different varieties. Varieties must be correctly identified on a separate 3x5 card. One entry per exhibitor.

Section P: Polyanthas

  • CLASS 13: Spray ... See Rule 11

Section C: Climbers (Large-flowered climbers)

  • CLASS 14: Spray (See Rule 11 and 12) or one bloom per stem side buds are permitted

Section S: Shrubs

  • CLASS 15: Spray (See Rule 11) or one bloom per stem (side buds are permitted).
  • CLASS 16 Shrub in a Bowl. One bloom, at any stage except bud, no foliage, floating in a bowl of water (limited number of bowls available on a first come, first served basis). One entry per exhibitor.

Section D: Dowager Queen Entries

  • Old Garden Roses See Rule 8
  • CLASS 20: Varieties introduced before 1867.

Section V: Victorian Award Entries

  • Old Garden Roses See Rule 8
  • CLASS 21: Varieties introduced in or after 1867.

Section B: Old-Fashioned Bouquet

  • CLASS 22: Eight or more varieties . May be sprays or One bloom per stem (side buds permitted) of Polyanthas, Shrubs, Old Garden Roses, or Ramblers in any combination. Also may include hips and/or foliage of these four types. Roses are displayed in appropriate container furnished by the exhibitor. Varieties must be correctly identified on a separate 3x5 card. Only one entry per exhibitor. Entry is not judged as an arrangement. Container should be claimed after the show.

Section J: Judges

  • CLASS 25 Any Variety. One bloom per stem or Spray. Standard or miniature/mini-flora, more than one entry is permitted.

Division 2 - Miniature Classes

Section M: Miniatures

  • CLASS 30: One bloom per stem. (no single varieties, no mini-floras)
  • CLASS 31: One bloom per stem (Mini-flora only)
  • CLASS 32: Novice. One bloom per stem. (Miniature or mini-flora) See Rule 7.
  • CLASS 33: Single (4-8 petals). One bloom per stem
  • CLASS 34: Fully Open. One bloom per stem. See Rule 9.
  • CLASS 35: Spray. See Rule 11
  • CLASS 36: Palette. 5 blooms, no foliage. 5 different varieties. Varieties must be correctly identified on a separate 3x5 card. One entry per exhibitor.
  • CLASS 37 Miniature Rose in a Bowl. One miniature bloom at exhibition stage, no foliage, floating in a bowl of water. one entry per exhibitor.

Divisions 1 and 2 - Special Challenge Classes

Section Z: Challenge Classes (Open to all exhibitors)

  • CLASS 40: Large Rose in a Frame - One Hybrid Tea or Grandiflora rose, exhibition stage, no foliage exhibited in the "Rose picture frame". Only frames provided by the show committee is permitted. All frames are available on a first-come, first-served basis only. One entry per exhibitor.
  • CLASS 41: Small Rose in a Frame - One Miniature rose, exhibition stage, no foliage exhibited in the "Rose picture frame". Only frames provided by the show committee are permitted. All frames are available on a first-come, first-served basis only. One entry per exhibitor.
  • CLASS 42: Three One bloom per stem Hybrid Tea or Grandiflora, all the same or three different varieties displayed in one container. Only one entry per exhibitor
  • CLASS 43: Three one bloom per stem Miniature, one container. All three of the same variety or all three different varieties. Only one entry per exhibitor.
  • CLASS 44: Astor Perry Challenge Class – Hybrid Tea, exhibition stage, hybridized by Astor Perry, More than one entry per exhibitor is allowed as long as it is of a different variety.
  • CLASS 45: Large Rose Bouquet . 5 One bloom per stem all different varieties. Only one entry per exhibitor. One container.
  • CLASS 46: Small Rose Bouquet . 5 One bloom per stem miniature or mini-flora all different varieties. Only one entry per exhibitor. One container.

Division 3 – Peoples choice

Section X: Challenge Classes (Open to all exhibitors)

  • X-47 One exhibit per exhibitor, may be individual rose, spray or any combination of singular stems and sprays. Winner to be chosen by vote of the general public.

Division 3 - Arrangement Classes

There will be no ARS Arrangement class this year, however there will be an open arrangement class open to the public, one entry per exhibitor and the winner will be selected by vote from the General Public.
